Aktua is a company dedicated to comprehensive service recoveries and property marketing. This time we were requested to improve the "Look & Feel" for the group’s internal applications.
Areas of improvement for the user experience and interface were established using tests and analysis with real users as well as defining the basic needs for the overall framework of standard components (buttons, dropdown, forms, etc…). This gave us the scope and objectives to accomplish.
Using “Flat Design” aesthetics we designed the components and developed the schemes of components simulating different situations. We developed case studies to verify that both the design and interaction worked perfectly.
The entire framework was documented to ensure correct use, with clear guidelines for each and including case studies for better understanding.
The technical aspect was important in the development of the project. As with many technology partners, programming languages and ways of working it was crucial that we could meet the needs and unify how to work the front-end, ensuring quality and correct implementation. A version control with a "log" was put in place, to record enhancements, fixes, updates and further developments.
